Life Of Nicolaus:

• Nicolaus Copernicus was born in a house on Anne's Street (Now Copernicus Street) in the city of Torun (Thorn) Situated on the Vistula river on 19, 1473.
• Nicolaus was the youngest of four children.
• Nicolaus Copernicus was also a mathematician, astronomer, physician, classical scholar, artist, Catholic cleric, jurist, governor, military leader, diplomat, priest, and an economist.
• As a Priest
• Nicolaus Copernicus wrote a book called De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium.
• They say he died with the book in his hands, it was his first published book.
• He had died from a stroke.

His Theory On the Universe:

• Nicolaus was the first astronomer to ever make a theory correctly that the sun was in the center of the universe and all the planets including the Earth orbited the Sun. The theory was not excepted right away, but when it finally was there was big changes in science and society and it would eventually revikutionize astronomy.

• Nicolaus's theory was called, "Copernican Revolution".

• In very more detail; Nicolaus Copernicus proposed that a rotating Earth revolving with the other planets about a stationary central Sun provided a much simpler explanation for the same observed phenomena of the daily rotation of the heavens, the annual movement of the Sun through the ecliptic, and the periodic retrograde motion of the planets
